Two dead, four injured in crash
South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a crash which happened around 7am on Wednesday morning, Jan. 18th and resulted in 2 deaths and 4 people injured. The incident which occurred involved a 2015 Ford F150 and a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica on Oates Highway, near Pocket Road, according to SCHP Cpl. David G. Jones. The F150, with only the driver on board, was traveling northward and the Pacifica, with driver and 4 passengers, was headed south when they collided head on.
All 6 individuals were taken to a local hospital. The drivers of the vehicles, a female from Florence and a male from Dillon County, had sustained fatal injuries and expired. It has not been disclosed how serious the injuries of the passengers are. No names have yet been released.
