Three arrested after search
The Darlington County Combined Drug Unit executed a search warrant last Tuesday, Dec. 24th, at a residence off Pacolet Drive in the Hartsville area. The operation resulted in the seizure of a substantial quantity of drugs and a firearm, as well as the arrest of two individuals at the scene.
During the search, the Drug Unit recovered over half an ounce of methamphetamine, fentanyl, prescription pills, and a firearm.
Carroll Barefoot Jr. and Julia Lewis were taken into custody at the location. Barefoot faces multiple charges, including:
Trafficking Methamphetamine (2nd Offense), Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl, Possession of a Controlled Substance (2nd Offense), Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, and Possession of a Firearm by a Person Unlawful.
Julia Lewis was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.
Another individual, Lily Bruce, turned herself in at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center and was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine and Possession with Intent to Distribute.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have indicated that further charges may be filed as the case develops.
