On Saturday, October 9th, the Pilot Club of Darlington hosted its annual Sweet Potato Festival from 9am to 4pm on the Darlington Courthouse Square. This year’s event was to honor all the local health care providers for their hard work and bravery. This year’s festival had a selection of special vendors from the local SC Department of Natural Resources , Darlington Fire Department, Darlington Police Department, and the local K-9 unit. There was an abundance of local gift and craft shops, food vendors, local bands, and games for the kids. Even with the forecast of rain, this year saw an impressive number of participants enjoying the festival. Thank you to all the vendors and guests who came out to help bring this festival to life! Be sure to check out the News and Press’ Monthly Calendar for more local events coming soon!
