Steven “Ratt” Bradley Raths

Steven “Ratt” Bradley Raths, age 54, passed away on November 10, 2022. A visitation was held a day before the service at 285 Stokes Road, Bishopville SC from 4:00pm until 6:00pm. The family received friends in Belk Funeral Home on Sunday, November 27 from 2:00pm until 2:30pm, with a memorial service which followed in the chapel at 2:30pm. His ashes will be interred during a private burial in Knoxville.
Ratt was born in Decatur, Alabama (so far north Alabama it was technically Tennessee as he would say) on October 14, 1968. He is the son of Annie Paniter Davis and the late Spencer Davis. Ratt served the United States of America in the U.S. Navy. Ratt was also a member of Saint Matthews of Darlington. Ratt had an Associates of Business and Associates of Art degree. Ratt worked at Volvo for many years in Savannah, Georgia. Ratt was an avid outdoorsman (shrimping, crabbing, fishing) he loved the water, his family, and Thai food.  He was a die-hard Tennessee VOLS fan. He bled Orange and White. He was loved by many for his vibrant personality, the way he loved things, his funny jokes (laugh was just as funny) and his positive outlook on life.
In addition to his mother, Annie Paniter Davis, Ratt is survived by his wife of 32 years, Denise Raths, children; Kelly (Zach) Nutter, Jacob Nutter, Joshua “Robbie” Nutter, grandchildren; Grayson, Jackson, Mason. Brothers, Mike and Bryan Raths, Niece Erica Raths. Extended family; Dennis Nutter, Dana (Jon) Martin, Teresa (John) Diffenderfer, nephews, Dennis, Dylan, Chase and a niece, Brooke. Special family friends, Sue and Gerald of Knoxville Tennessee.
Ratt is preceded in death by his father, Spencer Davis, and son, Daniel Nutter.
