The 39th Annual Catfish Festival and Car Show drew crowds to the Depot on Main Street this weekend, filling the historic town with music, classic cars, and small-town pride.

Organizers called the event an overwhelming success, crediting the turnout of vendors, car show entrants, musicians, and volunteers who came together to put on the daylong celebration. From food and fellowship to gleaming rows of show cars, the festival once again proved to be a highlight of Society Hill’s annual calendar.

Beyond the fun, organizers emphasized the festival’s deeper purpose: strengthening community bonds and supporting efforts to beautify the town. For nearly four decades, the event has served as a gathering point for residents and visitors alike, blending tradition with hometown hospitality.

“Seeing so many people come out and enjoy the day means more than you know,” festival organizers said, extending thanks to everyone who attended, volunteered, or worked behind the scenes to make the day possible.

As the dust settled on another successful festival, organizers were already looking ahead. Until next year, Society Hill.
