A 73-year-old Darlington resident was killed last Saturday at a Pearl Street car wash shortly after returning from a church outing with children. Eugene Williams Sr., described as a beloved community member, was found deceased beside his vehicle where he had stopped to clean his car.

Darlington Police Chief Jimmy Davis announced the arrest of two suspects in the case. Adron Lashawn Agbo, 22, has been apprehended on charges of murder and armed robbery. Additionally, a 15-year-old suspect from the Pee Dee region was taken into custody, with their identity withheld due to age restrictions.

The juvenile suspect has been transferred to the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice facility in Columbia, where they will appear before a judge. Chief Davis indicated that the investigation into Williams’ death remains ongoing, though authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances of the incident.
