Search warrant nets drugs, weapons

On Wednesday, July 19, 2023, Darlington county Sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant off Club Drive, in the Lamar area of Darlington County, and recovered nearly a half ounce of Fentanyl, over 300 pills, and several firearms. The search warrant was the result of an ongoing Narcotics Investigation. Kevin Bell, 45, of Club Drive, Lamar, was arrested for various drug and weapons charges at the scene. These charges include 7 counts of Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, 4 Counts of Manufacturing/Possession of Other Substance Schedule I, II, III With Intent to Distribute, and Trafficking in Fentanyl 14 Grams or more but Less than 28 Grams. The investigation is still ongoing and more charges may follow.
