Mr. Christopher is the 28th recipient of the McLeod Volunteer of the Year honor. A dedicated volunteer on the Orthopedic Unit since June of 2014, he also recently began volunteering for the McLeod Foundation and the McLeod Center for Cancer Treatment and Research. In two short years, Mr. Christopher has donated 1,189 hours to McLeod — 971 of those in 2015.

In presenting the award to Mr. Christopher, Linda Boone, Director of Volunteer Services for McLeod, said, “Robert displays ordinary greatness every time he walks through the doors of McLeod. He has such a sweet disposition and is always willing to help.”

More than 235 volunteers who contribute outstanding service to McLeod Regional Medical Center were honored during the luncheon. All total these volunteers contributed more than 43,500 hours to the medical center in 2015. During the luncheon, certificates and pins were also presented to volunteers who have given more than 1,000 hours of service to the hospital and honored all those with more than 50 hours of service.
