One killed and one hurt in Monday morning car crash
An accident early Monday on Indian Branch Road near Calvary Road in Darlington County killed one person and injured another, the S.C. Highway Patrol said.
About 5 a.m., a vehicle ran off the road and hit a utility pole, the patrol said. The passenger in the vehicle died and the driver was transported to an area hospital with injuries. Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee identified the victim as Antwan Lucas, 25, of Hartsville.
The crash is under investigation by the Highway Patrol with assistance from the MAIT team.
