News & Press thanks Mayor, City & County workers

The News & Press would like to thank Darlington Mayor Curtis Boyd, and all Darlington City and County employees who kept vigil and took great pains to prepare our community for Tropical Storm Debby over the past 7 days.
For two whole days beforehand, Mayor Boyd was seen walking the streets of Darlington, checking storm drains, manholes, drainage ditches, etc. City and County crews were checking, cleaning and draining troublesome water lines, irrigation ditches and more (even in the harshest of weather conditions during the storm) to keep our city from flooding.
It worked! The streets were more water-free than ever before during a typical storm.
Good work, Darlington!
You made a huge difference and we THANK YOU for all your hard work!
