NATIONAL NEWSPAPER WEEK: Circulation, billing & all things newspaper!

To continue our journey on National Newspaper Week, we must talk about Phyllis Caples.  If any of our readers have ever had to call The News & Press, walk-in, or send an email, the likelihood of getting to speak with Phyllis is very high. Phyllis is all things News & Press and makes everything here, run smoothly.

Phyllis joined the News & Press this time a few years back, but this wasn’t her first time being in the seat that makes the magic happen.  Phyllis comes from a long line of customer service and excels in her job day in and day out.  Everyday when I walk in, I can guarantee that Phyllis is going to greet me with a “good morning” and ask me how my drive was.  That’s the thing though, that’s Phyllis.  She cares about everyone around her and exemplifies this quality in her job.

Phyllis loves sports.  There are no two ways about it, if there’s a ball game going on anywhere in Darlington County, you can bet Phyllis is either going, or will have all the information you want about it by the next morning.  Her love for sports began to grow when her children started playing ball.  Ever since then, she has gotten the chance to watch her grandchildren grow and have just as much love for sports as she does.

Phyllis doesn’t only excel in her job and love sports, but she loves her family, every single one of them.  She is an asset to her family in many ways, whether it be driving them to practices, or sitting down to have a meal with them, they can always count on her to be there.

The Darlington News & Press would be lost without Phyllis, and we can’t thank her enough for all of her hard work and dedication she puts in every single day.  If you are ever out and about and around The News & Press, stop in and say hello to Phyllis.  I promise it will make your day and she can answer just about any question you have Newspaper or Sports Related.  Thank You Phyllis!
