Manheim raises $2,000 for Hartsville Boys & Girls Club

Manheim Darlington raised $2,000 this August for STEM programming at the Hartsville Boys & Girls Club, part of a company-wide campaign with Boys & Girls Clubs of America that far exceeded its goals.

The local contribution will fund hands-on learning experiences in science, technology, engineering, and math designed to spark curiosity and sharpen critical thinking among Club members.

“We are incredibly grateful to Manheim Darlington for their generous donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Pee Dee Area,” organization leaders said. “Impact like this is worth celebrating.”

The gift is part of a larger success story. Manheim set a goal of $600,000 for its 2026 campaign and surpassed it, raising $601,180 in August across 77 auction locations nationwide. Since launching in 2021, the partnership has generated nearly $2 million for local Clubs.

New participants joined this year, including locations in Maryland, South Dakota, and Tallahassee. Manheim Maryland made a strong debut, raising about $22,182 and holding the top campaign ranking for four weeks.

Beyond fundraising totals, 30 auction locations gave per-car-sold donations, all 77 participating sites recorded contributions, and 46 team members volunteered 368 hours for BGCA.

The funds for Hartsville will support hands-on STEM exploration meant to prepare Club members for future careers and help them think bigger about their potential. For an organization that has served Pee Dee area youth for more than 60 years, such contributions are essential to sustaining impactful programming.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Pee Dee Area serves youth ages 6-18 through eight sites in Florence, Hartsville, Hemingway, Johnsonville, Lake City, Pamplico, and Timmonsville, reaching more than 1,000 kids daily. Its mission focuses on academic success, character and leadership, and healthy lifestyles.
