Man 2 Man to launch program for expectant fathers

By Gailon Wisdom

The Man 2 Man Fatherhood Initiative will be launching a new program called The New Dads Boot Camp on Saturday August 25th at the Man 2 Man headquarters, 1321 West Evans Street in Florence starting at 10 a.m.

Deon Campbell, Site Director of the program said that the New Dads Boot Camp is a 3-hour workshop where expecting dads will learn how to be a father from experienced dads. The rookie (new) dads will be men who are getting ready to have their first newborn within 2 to 4 months. The veteran (experienced) dads will be asked to bring their babies, along with baby bags to Boot Camp. The mothers will not attend this workshop as the main goal is to help new dads build their confidence in being a parent. Each rookie dad that completes the session will receive a new dads handbook that will tips and advises on fatherhood. New dads will receive a certification of completion and will be given opportunity to come back as a Veteran Dad.

The workshop fee will be $25 paid the morning of Boot Camp at registration table.
