Lois Galloway Davis Reynolds, 97, went home to the Lord on Thursday March 2nd, 2023. Lois was born in Darlington County on July 8th,1925. She is the last surviving child of William “Willie” and Mary Louise Galloway. She grew up in the Philadelphia Community and was educated in Darlington County Schools. She met and married Clint Davis and raised three children Jenny, Harriet and Clint, Jr. and was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church. After the death of Clint, she later married Len Reynolds in 1998 eventually moving her membership to his church Darlington Presbyterian Church where she was active in Church Circles and Sunday School classes always arriving early. Lois was involved with many charitable organizations in Darlington County and worked diligently with United Way. At the age of 74 she retired from First Citizens Bank. She served in all aspects of banking over the years helping many people acquire their financial goals. Lois moved to Presbyterian Community Home in August 2017, where she embraced her new surroundings and the excellent care she received.
Ms. Reynolds adored and loved her family. Surviving is her daughter, Jenny (Bill) Fleming of Darlington, her son, Clint (Jean) Davis, Jr. of Amelia Island, Florida, Grandchildren: Amy (Trent) Owens of Mooresville, NC, Jennifer Fleming, William L. (Leah) Fleming, Jr. both of Darlington, Amanda (Josh)Sanchez of Summerville, and Lindsey(Nathan) Fox of Raleigh; Great grandchildren: Anna Davis and Gray Owens, Ava and Ella Sanchez, Liam and Elle Fleming; She is also survived by Mr. Reynolds’ family: Leonard (Anne) Reynolds, Jr., Dickey (Jenny) Reynolds, John (Adriane) Reynolds, Hugh(Sue)Reynolds, and their loving families.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husbands, her daughter, Harriet Hanks, son in law, Mike Hanks, brothers: Cliff Galloway, Raymond Galloway; and sisters: Mildred Blackmon and Jenny Galloway.
Lois’s visitation was on Saturday March 4th, 2023, at Darlington Presbyterian Church from 2 to 3pm, her funeral service followed at 3pm, with burial at Grove Hill Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home.
