Locals make Citadel Dean’s List
The Citadel, South Carolina’s esteemed military college, has announced its Dean’s List for the fall 2024 semester, recognizing outstanding academic achievement among its cadets and students. Among those honored are several students from Hartsville, Darlington, and McBee, South Carolina, who have demonstrated dedication and excellence in their studies.
The following local students were named to The Citadel’s Fall 2024 Dean’s List:

To qualify for this prestigious recognition, cadets and students must be registered for at least 12 semester hours and maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.20. Additionally, students must not receive a grade of Incomplete (I) or any grade below a C during the semester.
The Citadel, located in Charleston, South Carolina, is renowned for its rigorous academic programs and leadership development. The military college is home to approximately 2,300 members of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets. While military service is not mandatory, about one-third of each graduating class earns commissions as officers in various branches of the U.S. military. The Citadel’s legacy of producing principled leaders extends back to its founding in 1842.
In addition to its undergraduate programs, The Citadel Graduate College offers a range of graduate degrees, certificates, and evening undergraduate programs. The institution has earned recognition from U.S. News & World Report as the Best Regional University in the South and the Best Public University in the South for 14 consecutive years. It has also been ranked as the No. 1 Best Public College for Veterans in the South for the past seven years.
