Jerusalem Baptist kicks off Black History Month Celebration

A Black History Month Celebration Kick-Off began with Unity Day of Prayer at Jerusalem Baptist Church, located at 301 S. 6th Street in Hartsville. The attendees gathered to pray for our families, our youth, the community, the homeless, and unity amongst us all. Barbara Carraway said, “Our ancestors started singing and praying in cotton fields, rice fields, tobacco fields and more praising God for a better day for their sons and daughters.” The group is pictured here, including Pastor Reginald Floyd Esq., Deacon Carl M. Days, Lunella Williams, Ms Carolyn Cranford Johnson, and Ms. Barbara Carraway. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
