Rego Park, NY – James Edward ‘Cousy’ Thomas, Sr. was born in Darlington, SC to the late Willie Thomas and Cleola Sawyer Thomas. He was a graduate of Mayo High School 1962, Johnson C Smith University and was a US Army Veteran. He also earned graduate degrees from NYU and Columbia University. He passed March 22, 2022 in New York. A Veteran’s Honor Guard Committal Service has been rescheduled for Friday, October 28, 2022, 11am at the Florence National Cemetery.
