Hartsville native a candidate for S.C. education superintendent
Hartsville native Rev. Bryan Chapman has announced he is running for state superintendent of education.
Chapman, who now lives in Florence, said he has been a member of the Florence District One School Board for eight years.
Friends call Chapman a “servant leader in the Florence community.” He is a pro-life Republican.
Incumbent Superintendent Molly Spearman isn’t running for re-election. The primary election is in June.
