Hartsville for the Holidays Celebration

Hartsville was transformed into a real-life Christmas movie on Thursday, November 17th for the Hartsville for the Holidays Celebration. Shoppers enjoy extended shopping hours at local retailers for Downtown Holiday Open House, warmed up with hot chocolate and cookies, little ones got their photo taken with Santa Claus, and hundreds of people gathered at Centenial Park to sing a few carols and light the city with the Mayor’s Tree Lighting. Children enjoyed sledding on College AVEnue thanks to a huge slide with real snow sponsored by Heritage Community Bank.
If you missed the horse-drawn carriage rides through town, you are in luck: carriage rides and extended shopping hours every Thursday in December from 6 – 8 p.m. in Downtown Hartsville.
