Family thanks Rep. Williams
A small delegation of family members recently visited State Representative Robert Williams (District 62) in Columbia to present him with a framed photograph of Medal of Honor recipient and Darlington native, James Elliott Williams.
The visit highlighted Representative Williams’ efforts in advocating for the late war hero’s enshrinement in the South Carolina Hall of Fame in Myrtle Beach.James Elliott Williams, a decorated U.S. Navy veteran, received the Medal of Honor for his extraordinary service during the Vietnam War.
His family has been actively working to preserve his legacy, and Representative Williams has played a key role in pushing for his formal recognition at the state level.
