The Darlington County School District (DCSD) recognized the school winners and the four grand prize winners of its annual Art in Business program this week.

DCSD’s Art in Business creates partnerships with local businesses and organizations to celebrate the school district’s best visual artists. The school winners’ artwork will hang in sponsoring businesses for a year before returning to the district, while the four grand prize winners will hang permanently in the district’s administrative offices.

The four grand prize winners are:

Early Childhood Division/Grades K-2: Racquel Smith, Pate Elementary School; Rita Szigeti, art teacher

Elementary School Division/Grades 3-5:  Claire Smith, Carolina Elementary School; Jean McCormick, art teacher
