DCHS to host “Evening Under the Oaks” Oct. 1
The Darlington County Humane Society (DCHS) will hold its signature fundraising gala, “Evening Under the Oaks,” on October 1 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Oak Manor Inn, 314 East Home Ave.
The evening will bring together community members for a night of cocktails, a catered dinner, live music, and both silent and live auctions, all in support of the shelter’s mission to care for and find homes for animals across Darlington County.
Guests are invited to dress semi-formal — comfortable yet elegant attire suited for an outdoor evening beneath the property’s namesake oak trees. The event is open to attendees 21 and older.
Organizers say the gala is more than a fundraiser — it’s a celebration of community, compassion, and the second chances made possible through the Humane Society’s work.
