Darlington’s Bates chosen for Blue-Grey All-American Team
Joshua Bates from Darlington High School was recently selected for the Blue-Grey All-American Bowl Game. The game will take place at the Dallas Cowboy’s AT&T Stadium on December 17.
There were 6,750 players who competed in the 2018 combines and ninety seniors were selected to play in the All-American Bowl. The coaching staff for the bowl teams will include former NFL players. This will also be a chance for national recruiters to see players. According to paperwork from the Blue-Grey organization, nearly 90 percent of All-American players earned a scholarship the last three years. Bates wishes to thank all of his friends, family and coaches in Darlington who helped him accomplish one of his dreams.
