Darlingtonian paints portrait of Williamson

The South Caroina Highway Patrol recently thanked Darlingtonian Dale Weatherford for his time and efforts for the portrait of Colonel Christopher Williamson.
Dale Carlisle Weatherford was born and raised in Darlington, S.C. He first began his art journey at the age of eighteen after graduating from The Byrnes Schools and studied art at Lynda English Gallery in Florence, S.C. after enrolling at Francis Marion University Dale began to take art classes at the college to obtain a minor in visual arts.
His has spent years learning under both local and internationally renowned artists. Lynda English, Jaclyn Wukela, and Debbie Melton of Florence, South Carolina as well as studying underneath Igor Babailov, who is recognized as a world-renowned portraitist. Dale is currently studying at the Academy of Realist Art Boston to further his training in classical drawing and painting.
He specializes in portraiture, figure, and landscape painting.
