Darlington Deputies apprehend one of two suspects

This morning, Darlington County Sheriff’s Deputies swiftly responded to an active alarm at 1547 Lakeview Boulevard, a location commonly known as Foxes Corner in the Hartsville area. Upon arrival, deputies observed masked individuals exiting the back door of the property. The suspects immediately fled the scene, prompting a pursuit by law enforcement.

The chase ended when the suspects’ vehicle crashed. While one individual managed to flee on foot, another was detained by deputies at the scene. The detained individual was transported to a local hospital for treatment, and charges are expected to follow upon their release. The search for the second suspect is ongoing, as authorities continue to investigate the incident.

Sheriff’s officials expressed gratitude to the deputies for their quick response and proactive efforts. At the time of the alarm, deputies were actively patrolling the area as part of ongoing efforts to deter property crimes.
