Darlington County issues statement on Cybersecurity Incident
Darlington County is actively investigating a cybersecurity incident affecting the operability of certain computer systems and limiting certain County services. All County emergency services remain operational, with no impact to the 911 communications center’s ability to receive and dispatch emergency services.
They are working with third-party cybersecurity specialists and law enforcement agencies at all levels to restore full functionality to their network as quickly and securely as possible. As part of their response process, certain systems have been proactively taken offline, and some County services are available in a limited capacity. The investigation remains active and ongoing, and they have significant resources dedicated to this process.
