9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. — Darlington County Coordinating Council’s Community & Homeless Resource Hub. Usually held on the Public Square in Darlington but, location may change. Free Health Screenings, Legal Services, Assistance with SNAP (EBT), Medicaid, Prescription Medications, Drug and Alcohol, help finding work and other programs and services. 5:30 P.M. — Darlington Together meeting, Musician Anthony Outlaw will be speaking on forming a Community Choir, St. Matthews Parish Hall, 210 S. Main Street, Darlington. Darlington Together is a community-based group who meets each month to foster better relationships between the races in our community.

Sat., Nov. 25:

9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. — FREE Clothes Closet, Providence Baptist Church, 1880 Antioch Rd., Hartsville. Providence does this to help those who have been through a devasttating event (Fire, flood, etc.) and those who are unable to afford the purchase of clothing, shoes, etc.

4:00 P.M. — Society Hill Christmas Festival and Parade. Parade lineup will begin on Long Bluff Roat at 3pm. The route will be from Long Bluff to St. David’s Academy. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for “Best in Show” decorated floats/vehicles. For those seeking additional information or interested in participating, Police Chief Renea Worden is the point of contact. There will also be a tree lighting ceremony at 6pm and Santa will be at the Kid’s Fest. Each child will receive a gift from Santa and there will be goodies to eat and drink. Lots of crafts will be made and each child will have the chance to make an ornament to place on the tree before the Tree Lighting Ceremony. Choirs from around town will be present to sing Christmas Carols, so bring your beautiful voices. Holiday refreshments will be provided during the ceremony.
