Concert
Love Life Ministries, 213 Cross Street, 52 Bypass in Darlington, will host a concert Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. The performers will be the Singing Couriers from Bennettsville. Everyone is welcome; bring a friend or family. For more information, call 843-393-6366.
Women’s Day Service
The United Methodist Women of St. John UMC will hold their Annual Women’s Day Program on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 4 p.m. Guest speaker will be Elder LaSheila Mack Wyatt of the Bennetsville Charge, (Aaron Temple UMC of Bennettsville and Ebenezer UMC of Wallace. Elder Wyatt is formerly from Hartsville and Wesley Chapel UMC. St. John UMC is located at 214 W. Seven Pines St., (Oates Community), Lamar.

Darlington Church of God of Prophecy will hold their Homecoming September 30 at 10 a.m. with Bishop Fred Fisher as guest speaker. The church is located at 920 West Smith Avenue, Darlington.
Retirement Banquet
Cherry Grove Missionary Baptist Church is having a retirement banquet for Rev. E. B. Burroughs, which will be held October 6 at 6 p.m. at the SiMT Building at 1951 Pisgah Road, Florence-Darlington Technical College. The cost is $35 for adults and $15 for children age 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased from Mrs. Brenda Goodson, Mrs. Janice Floyd and Mrs. Mary Abraham.

The Lord Cares
Please continue to assist The Lord Cares in caring for those in need in the Darlington area. T.L.C.’s food bank is located at 201 Grove Street in Darlington. They are open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Donations of non-perishable food items (especially canned meats) are needed, as are toiletries, bathroom tissue, and paper towels.
