Homecoming Service
Mechanicsville Baptist Church will hold a Homecoming Service, September 16 at 10 a.m. The guest speaker will be Pastor Diomedes Santilez from Nicaragua. Several missionaries from Nicaragua will also be in attendance. There will be special music by Stan Thompson & friends and fellowship to follow the service. The church is celebrating its 267th birthday.

Annual Spiritual Retreat
Woman’s Pee Dee District Department Cluster #3 Spiritual Retreat will be held September 21-22 at Palmetto Baptist Church,1104 Piano Road, Darlington. Friday, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, 8:30a.m.-12:45 p.m. The retreat speaker will be Pastor Michelle Law-Gordon. Tickets $10

Darlington COGOP Homecoming

Retirement Banquet
Cherry Grove Missionary Baptist Church is having a retirement banquet for Rev. E. B. Burroughs, which will be held October 6 at 6 p.m. at the SiMT Building at 1951 Pisgah Road, Florence-Darlington Technical College. The cost is $35 for adults and $15 for children age 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased from Mrs. Brenda Goodson, Mrs. Janice Floyd and Mrs. Mary Abraham.

Live@Central!
Central United Methodist Church in Florence will host well-known church historian Bill Segars September 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Spears Fellowship Hall. Bill will present a fascinating program about old churches in the Florence area that still host occasional services. Bill is know for his efforts to document old churches in South Carolina and has done so for more than 800 churches.

The Lord Cares
Please continue to assist The Lord Cares in caring for those in need in the Darlington area. T.L.C.’s food bank is located at 201 Grove Street in Darlington. They are open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Donations of non-perishable food items (especially canned meats) are needed, as are toiletries, bathroom tissue, and paper towels.
