Life Changing Word Ministry (LCWM) celebrated its groundbreaking on Saturday, May 20, 2023. The new location will be constructed at 2629 North Fifth Street in Hartsville.

LCWM began when God gave Elder James Sanders the call to pastor in 2010. He began looking for a good location and found the current site, 509 S. Main St. in Society Hill. First established in a storefront building which previously was an old fruit stand. Pastor Sanders says he was given a vision and it has come to pass. The churches moto is “Life Changing Word Ministry is the church where one word from the Lord can change your life for the rest of your life.”

LCWM started out with just a few members and the church has grown over the years. They are finally ready to build a sanctuary where God can continue to abide and souls can be saved. Over the years, LCWM has lots two of its hardworking members – the late Sis. Valerie Byrd and the late Sis. Shirley Ann Sanders. Both were Pastor’s Aides and also on the Kitchen Committee. Pastor Sanders said, “I am saddened that they won’t be here to walk in the new sanctuary with us.” Through prayer, the faithfulness of the members and many donations, the new sanctuary is finally being built.
