Child Abuse Workshop to be held

In observance of Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month, the Darlington Community Foundation and Macedonia Life-Skills Center will sponsor a free Community Workshop and luncheon, to be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 10am to 12 Noon, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 400 S. Main St., Darlington.

Guest speakers for this event will be Darlington Police Chief James “Jimmy” Davis and Darlington County Sheriff James B. Hudson Jr. The proclamation signed by Darlington Mayor Curtis Boyd designating April as Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month for the City of Darlington will be read and Child Abuse Prevention information will be shared.

Nonprofit organizations and business will also share information on their organizations and the free benefits and programs they offer the community. Please leave your name, phone number and how many will be attending from your family, church or organization.

Child Abuse Prevention information and material will be shared from the Children’s Trust of South Carolina in Columbia.
