Carolina Pines hosts 3rd Annual JumpStart Your Heart 5K Run

Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center hosted its Third Annual Jumpstart Your Heart 5K to purchase Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for local schools and non-profit organizations. With funds raised their previous 5K, they were able to purchase 7 AEDs and they hope to raise enough money to buy and donate 12 AEDs this year. Under cloudy skies, approximately 100 runners participated in 8 different age categories. Prizes were awarded for top female and male finishers and top three finishers in the following age categories: under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
