Bulldog’s ‘heinous’ death investigated
The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a Hartsville-area woman’s English bulldog, found shot and mutilated in Chesterfield County.
The owners of the dog were celebrating their anniversary on an Alaskan cruise when they learned about the incident. According to a GoFundMe account, the dog, George, 10 months old, escaped through a fence opening apparently caused by Friday’s storms. ATV riders later found George dead.
Caroline Perry, George’s owner, said on the GoFundMe post: “We seek justice in finding the monster responsible for this heinous crime.” Investigators are asking anyone with information to call 843-398-4501.
