Bobby C. Odom
Bobby C. Odom, age 85, died Saturday July 2 at his granddaughters home following an illness. A graveside service was held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Grove Hill cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home.
Mr. Odom was born in Darlington County, son of the late Alston and Eva Knotts Odom. He served his country in the U.S. Army before coming home and working over 34 years with Dixie Cup; then becoming CEO of Dixie Federal Credit Union. He was married to the late Mary Lee Odom. One would see Bobby faithfully walking 5 miles every day. He took pride in the appearance of his house, yards and garden and also was an avid golfer.
Surviving is his granddaughter, Beth and her husband “Brent” Yarborough of Florence and their children Connor and Mason, granddaughter, Katelyn (Hunter Culpepper) Odom and her children Madison, Brentley, Remmington Locklair and Easton Eagerton, four brothers: Hubert, Lee, Dusty and Danny Odom. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Odom, and four siblings: Weldon and Barry Odom, Margie Dennis and Myrna Asaro.
