Born on October 1, 1918, Mrs. Rosie Lee Graham has witnessed more than a century unfold before her eyes — wars won, worlds changed, and generations born into the loving embrace of a family she and her beloved husband, the late LeRoy Graham, built together. Theirs was a partnership rooted in devotion, hard work, and an unshakable faith that carried them through every season of life.
Together, the Grahams raised six children — Earlene Davis, Gonza Lee Graham, Dorothy Graham, Modstine James, Esther Clinton, and Arthur Graham — instilling in each of them the same values that have defined Mrs. Graham’s remarkable journey: integrity, perseverance, and an abiding love for God and family.
Family and friends will gather on October 3rd at 4pm, at 115 Freedom Avenue in Elliott, SC, to honor Mrs. Graham for 108 years of faithful, loving and devoted service to God, her family and her community.
From those six children has grown a family tree rich with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren — a living legacy that continues to expand with each passing year. At the center of it all sits Mrs. Graham, the matriarch whose wisdom and warmth remain a guiding light for every generation that has followed. To know her is to have received, at some point, a piece of her hard-earned wisdom or a moment of her gentle love — gifts she has given freely throughout her extraordinary life.
A devoted member of the Mt. Tabor Church family, Mrs. Graham’s faith has been the bedrock of her remarkable life. Her relationship with God has never been a quiet, private matter — it has been lived out loud through decades of service to others.
For much of her working life, Mrs. Graham served her community as a house worker and babysitter, entrusted with the care of children and homes throughout the neighborhood.
