Making Darlington cleaner, greener
Twice a year, Clean Up Darlington brings together dozens of volunteers to plant flowers and pull weeds, freshen paint, and sweep and wash away some of the grime that gradually accumulates throughout the city. Last Saturday, April 27, teams met up on the Public Square to pick up their free “Darlington Proud” T-shirts and get their work assignments. After a day of pressure washing, planting and carting away trash and debris, the Pearl of the Pee Dee definitely shone a little brighter.
