Michael Vincent Savage

Vincent left this earthly voyage on Sunday April 22, 2018 while resting in his bed. His many friends look forward to being with him when we get to heaven.

Vincent was the son of the late Michael A. Savage and Margaret Coachys Savage. He was born on February 16, 1949 and graduated from St. John’s High School in Darlington, SC. Vince then graduated from Newberry College in Newberry, SC. Vince decided to go to law school when he was in his 40s. He graduated with a law degree from Hamline University of St. Paul, MN.

Vincent is survived by his sister, Cynthia Savage Owens, her three daughters, and their children, Heather (Kevin), Blair, and Amanda of Florence, SC.

A celebration of Vincent’s life was held on Saturday August 25th 2018 11 a.m. at Temple Free Will Baptist Church, 1660 North Governor Williams Hwy. Darlington, SC. Belk Funeral Home in Darlington helped the family.

Vincent had an opinion on every subject. He had traveled the world spending time in England, Switzerland, Czechoslovakia and his beloved Nantucket, Massachusetts. He was a life long Democrat, loved unions and felt big business and Republicans were not for the little person. He talked a good story and was filled with information but he never was able to harness the talents that God had given him. He could be extremely kind and considerate, or opinionated and rejecting. He was a human like all of us and he was loved by many and disliked by others. The positives far outweighed the negatives to those who cared for him. He will be missed.
