The Titans took on their toughest region opponent this week in a nail-biting game against the Wilson Hall Barons. The Titans, in their second year under Coach Sikes, had gone 1-2 against the Barons, and the Titans were hoping to pull out a confidence-boosting win early in region play. The Titans started off the game nicely, scoring several baskets and hitting several key three-point shots. By the end of the first quarter, the Titans had racked up several steals and had made multiple layups as they ran circles around the Barons. The energy that the Titans had began to wear off after halftime, and they struggled to stop the Barons as they began to close the gap. In the end, the Titans were unable to keep up with the Barons and lost in the end 76-84, leaving disappointed but ready to face the Barons again. These teams will see each other again at Wilson Hall in a few weeks, but for now I wish them luck in their regular season play against Laurence Manning and Hilton Head Christian Academy.
