Trinity Collegiate School chooses new head varsity baseball coach

Brandon Hyman takes over as the Head Varsity Baseball Coach of Trinity Collegiate after spending the past six years at South Florence.
During his six years at South Florence, he helped lead the Bruins to 105 wins with two region titles, one district title and one lower state runner up. 23 former players signed to play in college during his time there.
Coach Hyman is a graduate of South Florence High where he was a 4 year starting centerfielder. As a player he helped lead the Bruins to a district title, defeating nationally ranked Wando twice. He was a two time All-Region winner and team MVP. He also played for Florence Post 1. As a senior, he signed to play at Florence-Darlington Tech
He began his high school coaching career in 2018 as an assistant coach for the South Florence B Team, JV, and Varsity team – before taking over as the Head Coach of the B Team in 2019. He served in that role until 2021, when he shifted his focus to the JV and Varsity teams full time. He oversaw the development of outfielders and base running for the program during his time at South and also played an important role in preparing his players for life after baseball.
During the summer, Coach Hyman has been the head coach for the South Florence Gold Jr Legion team for 5 seasons, from 2018-2022. The summer development program was an integral part of the success of the South Florence program.
Coach Hyman is a contributing member to the American Baseball Coaches Association and The Diamond Prospects. He also founded the website CoachHyman.com and The Transformational Coaching Podcast – both of which are geared towards helping build better athletes, coaches, and people.
Coach Hyman was born and raised in Florence and has deep roots in the community. He continues to reside there with his wife Catherine and their two boys – Jack and Holt. He is employed by Novartis Pharmaceuticals.
