Stiff sentence for drug charge
On June 16, 2015, George Andrew McNeil was sentenced in Federal Court in Florence on June 16, 2015 for his role in an armed drug conspiracy that involved the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Florence.
According to reports from Darlington County Sheriff Wayne Byrd, the arrest was a result of the hard work from the two agencies, and investigative measures they used to build a solid case against McNeil. McNeil was sentenced to 262 months in the Federal Bureau of Prisons followed by 5 years supervised release.
