POSTON SELECTED PITCHER OF WEEK — Francis Marion University junior left-hander Alyssa Poston has been selected as the Conference Carolinas Softball Pitcher of the Week for the opening week of the 2025 season!
Poston, a native of Hartsville, S.C. blanked Coker University 2-0 in the season opener, allowing only five hits. She needed just 99 pitches (only 26 balls), while striking out 10 and not walking a batter. Poston claimed the Pitcher of the Week honors four times in 2024 en route to being named the Conference Pitcher of the Year. Poston is a graduate of Hartsville High School and is majoring in healthcare administration.
