St. James UMC hosts speaker Raymond Buxton
Raymond Buxton, Commissioner of the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission is the guest speaker at Saint James United Methodist Church at their morning service on Sunday, January 15, 2017. Commissioner Buxton brings years of dedication and expertise to the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission (SCHAC) and is committed to carry out the agency’s mission by investigating and eliminating discrimination in fair housing, employment, and public accommodations as mandated by the South Carolina General Assembly.
St. James UMC is celebrating Human Relations Sunday that focus on improving human relations between all races and cultures. Commissioner Buxton also uphold the agency mission to foster mutual understand and respect among all people in South Carolina.
Services begin at 9:45 am, St James United Methodist Church, 312 Pearl Street Darlington, SC. The public is invited.
The South Carolina Human Affairs Commission strives to alleviate these problems of discrimination through the enforcement of the South Carolina Human Affairs Law, the South Carolina Fair Housing Law, and the South Carolina Equal Enjoyment and Privileges to Public Accommodations Law.
