Society Hill man fatally stabbed
On May 3rd, a stabbing occurred in the Society Hill area of Darlington County.
Damaal Renard Cook, 31, of 189 Union Street was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:30 a.m. according to Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee. An autopsy was been scheduled for Monday in Newberry. The Coroner is expected to make an official ruling following the outcome of the post mortem examination.
The Darlington County Sheriffs Office has a suspect in custody and charges are forthcoming. This is an active ongoing investigation and more information will be released when available.
