Shooting death investigation
Dominique Ray Von Cooper, 24, was transported to McLeod Regional Medical Center on July 13 with gunshot wounds; he died from injuries sustained from the shooting, according to reports from the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office, and County Coroner J. Todd Hardee.
The DCSO was notified of the shooting at 1:30 a.m. early Monday of a shooting at Santee River Drive in Florence, near McIver Rd. in Darlington County.
According to reports, the suspect(s) involved in the incident fled the scene in a vehicle after the shooting took place.
At the time of press date, the case was still under investigation, and information will be released.
