Shooting arrest on Mariposa Dr.
Darlington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic violence and shooting incident Mariposa Drive Florence, Darlington County, on February 28, 2016. The suspect shot at his wife during an altercation; the victim was not harmed in the incident.

The suspect barricaded himself inside of the residence. The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team made entry into the residence. The suspect was taken into custody after a brief struggle with deputies. Several guns were located throughout the residence.
David Craig Shipman, age 51, of Florence, was charged with Domestic Violence High and Aggravated; Kidnapping; Pointing and Presenting a Firearm; Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime; and Resisting Arrest.
