RACE WEEK SCHEDULED EVENTS & ACTIVITIES
Wednesday, August 30:
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – The Darlington Raceway Stock Car Museum is open.
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Eagle 92.9 and Darlington Raceway will team up for a live remote broadcast from Cookout at 2112 West Lucas Street. Come see the official Darlington Raceway pace car and have a chance to win Darlington Raceway prizes including tickets for Sunday.
Thursday, August 31:
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – The Darlington Raceway Stock Car Museum is open.
12 to 6 p.m. – Blood Drive with the American Red Cross of SC in front of the Darlington Raceway Stock Car Museum
12:30 to 6 p.m. – The NASCAR Youth Series will practice today and compete Friday-Sunday. The Cook Out .25 Midget Series will compete to the east of Darlington Raceway outside Turns 1-2 across the street from Race Track Road, known as the Manheim Property. Admission is free for fans to watch the sport’s future stars compete. It is a family-oriented motorsport that involves children ages 5-16 racing in specially-prepared cars. A quarter midget is a scaled-down version of an actual midget racer, approximately 1/4th scale.
6:30 p.m. – Darlington Raceway will host the annual Terrence Carraway Memorial 5K presented by Brown’s RV Superstore. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Terrence F. Carraway Foundation. The running event will honor the life of the City of Florence Police Sgt. Terrence Carraway, who lost his life in the line of duty on Oct. 3, 2018.
7 to 10 p.m. – Joe’s Grill is teaming up with Patriot Chevrolet of Darlington and Wilgrow to kick off race weekend for its annual block party. The grill opens at 5 p.m. Come early to get a seat, bring your lawn chair, and enjoy the live music featuring Continental Divide.
8 p.m. – Cruz’ N Karaoke at The Golden Saddle
Friday, September 1:
Midway (also known as the Fanzone) is open to all visitors and race fans.
8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. – NASCAR Youth Series Racing (Manheim Property outside turns 1 & 2)
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – The Darlington Raceway Stock Car Museum is open.
4 p.m. – The NASCAR Cup Series Hauler Parade will return after a three-year hiatus for the Crown Royal presents Darlington Labor Day Race Weekend. Beginning at 4 p.m., fans are invited to the Florence-Darlington Technical College staging area, where they can take photos with their favorite haulers while enjoying music and food from local vendors. The haulers will depart Florence-Darlington Technical College at 6 p.m. and make their way to historic Darlington Raceway, where they will load into the NASCAR Cup Series Garage. The route will take the parade north on U.S. 52 into downtown Darlington and then out to the track on West Smith Avenue. 6 p.m. – New Vision Community Development Corporation presents the 10th Annual Community Rice Festival on Friday and Saturday at the New Hopewell Outreach Center. Enjoy an old-school block party on Friday. This is a free event.
6:30 to 9 p.m. – Friday Night Live Music at Purple Fish Coffee Company
7 p.m. – Hauler Parade arrives at the Infield
9 p.m. – Olanta will perform at The Golden Saddle
Saturday, September 2:

9 a.m. – Parker Retzlaff Q&A at NASCAR Experience (Midway)
9:15 a.m. – Parker Kligerman Q&A at NASCAR Experience (Midway)
10 a.m. – The Florence Convention and Visitors Bureau is bringing Florence RaceFest to the Pee Dee State Farmers Market. The free and family-friendly event will feature games, activities, arts and crafts, and food. Cozy Coupe races with cars made up like NASCAR cars will be part of the fun. The event also includes inflatables, a water slide, mobile video, a game truck, airbrush face painting, carnival games, The Kenny Shelley Memorial Auto Fair, DJs with music, food trucks (food will be for purchase), and an Acceleration Zone with racing vehicles.
10 a.m. – The Community Rice Festival continues at the New Hopewell Outreach Center. Enjoy a parade, inflatables, an umbrella parade, live entertainment, a Battle of the Bands, games, horseback riding, and more. This is a free event!

10 a.m. to 7 p.m. – Neptune Island Waterpark in Hartsville
3:30 – NASCAR Xfinity Series Sport Clips VFW Help a Hero 200
