Pre-site contracts awarded for two new schools

The Darlington County Board of Education on Friday awarded Kirven Construction of Darlington contracts to perform pre-site work at the sites of two new schools the county is building.
The board, in a special called meeting, awarded Kirven separate $1.6 million contracts for pre-site work at the new Hartsville-area and Lamar-area elementary schools.
Pre-site work basically means preparing the ground for actual construction of the schools.
