PDRTA at Walmart

The Pee Dee Regional Transit Authority (PDRTA) DART riders received a sneak peek at the new Walmart store in Darlington last week.
The new supercenter will be adding a rain shelter bus stop for bus riders at the front of the building.

“We are excited about the opportunity to add Walmart as a destination to PDRTA’s Darlington service,” said Chris Greeman of PDRTA. “We anticipate our customers will be excited too.”

“We anticipate that the demand for reliable and affordable public transportation will increase in Darlington not only due to customers but also many employees who have joined the team at Walmart.”.says Don Strickland of PDRTA.

On Mondays passengers are able to travel on the Lamar-Timmonsville-Darlington Route from Lamar and Timmonsville and arrive at the Darlington Wal-Mart at 9:25 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 2:40 p.m., and 4:40 p.m. They can leave the Darlington Wal-Mart at 9:25 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 2:40 p.m. and 4:40 p.m. headed back to Lamar and Timmonsville. The fare each way from Lamar and Timmonsville to and from Darlington is $3.00. Seniors 65+, Medicare card holders, persons with disabilities and US Veterans ride for ½ price of $1.50 each way.
