Local business dedicates Veteran parking
On Feb. 14 several local veterans were on-hand for a ribbon cutting at Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home. Owner Todd Hardee was dedicating several parking spots at his business for veterans.
“We’ve got young veterans and old veterans,” Hardee said. “And especially for the ones who are getting up there in age, I want them to have the best parking in town. We are going to start that right here at Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home. We’ve got two signs here at the funeral home, one up front by the Presbyterian Church that is ours, and then one at South of Pearl. I think it is a good thing that veterans be able to park up close. We really appreciate them and want to make sure that they are taken care of. We can’t do much but we can do up front parking so that’s what we’re doing. We take a lot for granted but I don’t want to overlook this crowd because once they’re gone, they’re gone so I want to look out for them. It’s important.”
