South Carolina ETV will provide live coverage of the funeral of South Carolina Senator Clementa Pinckney, pastor of the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, S.C. The eulogy will be delivered by President Barack Obama. Pinckney was fatally shot along with eight other church members in a mass killing during evening bible study on Wednesday, June 17, 2015. The funeral is broadcast live from the TD Arena at the College of Charleston.

The broadcast will be Friday, June 26th at 11 a.m. on ETV World and live streamed at scetv.org. It will be rebroadcast the same evening at 7 p.m. on ETV.

The coverage is being provided in cooperation with UNC-TV, who will also broadcast the program in North Carolina.

“This tragedy has touched the hearts of so many, it’s important that we find a way to pay our respects in this time of grief. Sharing this service is a way of healing and recognizing our common bonds,” said Linda O’Bryon, president and CEO of South Carolina ETV. “We’re honored to partner with our friends at UNC-TV to bring this to all of the Carolinas.”
